The Laurens County Water and Sewer Commission (LCWSC) is collaborating with Laurens County to amend the 2021 Laurens County Hazard Mitigation Plan. This amendment will enable LCWSC to become an official participant in the plan and qualify for FEMA Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) funding.
As part of the application process, and in accordance with the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000, eligible organizations must inform the public of their participation and share a draft list of proposed natural hazard mitigation actions prior to adopting a FEMA-approved Hazard Mitigation Plan.
LCWSC invites its customers and other interested parties to review the draft mitigation action list and the FEMA-approved 2021 Laurens County Hazard Mitigation Plan. Your input is valuable in shaping our community’s resilience to natural hazards.
